Our chef Sarah O’ Loughlin is representing Galway 2020 in Croatia
So you have no doubt heard all about Galway 2020 and our recent award making us European Capital of Culture 2020. But did you know we will be sharing the title with Rijeka in Croatia.
And as part of a creative exchange between the two cities, our own chef, Sarah O' Loughlin has been busy cooking, learning and networking in Rijeka for the past week. Well done Sarah. Bring us back something nice!
Not only that, but Sarah is steering the Garden Café in Brigit's Garden into a new era. Redecorating is underway, the painters have been in, the menu re-vamped, new logo, new designs, and an overall refresh of the café along with the addition of a brand new artisan pantry.
We are excited, our partners are excited, our customers are excited, even the birds in the trees are whistling a new tune. We are looking forward to the official re-launch on the first weekend in April. There will be food tastings, demonstrations, goody bags, great food and drink, prizes and an opportunity to mix and mingle with the local community, local businesses and some special guests. Save the date April 1st & 2nd.

You will see a brown heirtage sign with Brigit's Garden name on it pointing to the right. Take this right and the entrance to Brigit's Garden is on the left approximately 2km from this turn (after the community centre and church on the left hand-side).
Please pay attention to the signs for the overnight carpark and day carpark during this event.
