Outside: Insight Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition

The public are invited to view Outside Insight 2013, an exhibition of sculpture beautifully set in the award-winning Celtic Gardens at Brigit's Garden in Roscahill. The exhibition includes the Earth Woman, a 16 foot high willow sculpture of a dancing woman woven in willow by Breda Marron, set in the stone circles of the Lughnasa garden. There are also tall kinetic windmills, intriguing bog bolg figures by Jodi Coyne hiding in the wildflowers, and a large sundial installation by Ian Nolan, along with many other works. Visitors can vote for their favourite sculpture and a public award will be given at the end of the exhibition.

Brigit's Garden is open daily for visitors to the Celtic Gardens and Visitor Centre, and the exhibition can be viewed every day until the end of August. Outside Insight is run cooperation with Galway Arts Centre. For further information call 091 550 905.

The pilgrims absolutely loved being at the garden and got a great deal from the workshop. It provided a good foundation for the rest of the trip and was one of the highlights of the pilgrimage. Thank you so much. JC tours

There is no better or more powerful place to step into the pilgrimage energy, to sink into the rhythms and cycles of the Earth as we begin to explore the rhythms and cycles of our own lives. The setting, the gracious and welcoming people, the Roundhouse and the fabulous food are a delightful dance of the senses for all who visit. Judith Nilan, Stonefire Tours
