Artists in Brigit’s Garden 2024

As part of our 20th birthday celebrations, Brigit’s Garden is extending a warm invitation to visual artists to spend time in the gardens, respond to the themes and create work for an exhibition to be held from 5th to 20th October 2024.

Brigit’s Garden is about connecting people with nature. It is a place that invites an artistic response to the herbs, flowers and trees, the Celtic themes of the four main gardens, the standing stones and other structures, and the people of all ages engaged in a wide range of activities.

  • Artists in Brigit’s Garden is open to visual artists working in any media, 2D or 3D.
  • To apply, please email a brief summary of your work, including the medium/media in which you work and two examples, to Jenny Beale, jenny@brigitsgarden.ie by Sunday 19th May.
  • If accepted, you are welcome to visit the Gardens free of charge as often as you wish during opening hours until mid-September.
  • Each artist will be invited to submit a work for the exhibition (work will be for sale, Brigit’s Garden will take a small commission). There may be an opportunity to show additional work, depending on available space.
  • The exhibition will be curated by Jane Stark, botanical artist, Jenny Beale, Director of Brigit’s Garden and a visual artist to be appointed.

We look forward to hearing from you.
