Celebrating Brigit, goddess and saint

Lá Fhéile Bríde

Sunday 28th January 2024, 9.30am – 4.30pm

You are warmly invited to join us for a day-long celebration of Brigit, goddess and saint, and the Celtic fire festival of Imbolc, through a rich weaving of stories, reflection, ritual and creativity.

2024 is a special year as it marks the 1,500th anniversary of the death of St Brigit – yet her legacy and traditions from both the pre-Christian and Christian eras are still relevant and inspiring today. We can draw on the strength of the divine feminine, her deep connection to nature and the land, and her passion for healing and justice.

Our intention for the day is to meet in community to explore and share the many faces of Brigit and build our sense of connection to Brigit, the land, each other and ourselves.

The day is offered by: Carol Barrett – nature educator, folklorist, crafter and forager; Jenny Beale – founder and director of Brigit’s Garden; and Caroline McFadden – fire-keeper, singer and artist.

We are offering a full and nourishing day, with morning break and hot lunch (vegetarian) included.

Contributions for the day are €80 standard, €70 concession and €90 supporting. Limited half-price concessions available, please email Jenny: jenny@brigitsgarden.ie to enquire. All are welcome and all proceeds go to support Brigit’s Garden, a not-for-profit and registered charity.

Brigit’s Garden members will receive a 10% discount, for those named on the membership card, and membership is non-transferable. Please phone 091 550905 for the membership code and please do remember to bring your membership card with you on the day.
