Samhain at Brigit’s Garden (in-person)

Samhain Halloween is one of the great turning points of the Celtic year, marking the end of the harvest season and the shift into the darker months. It is a liminal time when the veil between this world and the otherworld is said to be thin, and a time for deep connection with the land and the ancestors.

This year we are offering two events (in-person and by Zoom) to connect with our friends nearby and also with those further away across the globe. You are warmly invited to join us for this special gathering to mark the festival of Samhain on Sunday October 30th from 7.30 – 9.30pm.

We will share stories and songs of Samhain and relax with a meditation; we will reflect on what we need to let go of and what we wish to call in over the winter season; and we will honour our ancestors and those that have passed.

At this in-person evening at Brigit’s Garden we will also light a Samhain fire. After the main session there will be a cuppa and an informal gathering around the fire to share songs and poems (weather permitting).

The gathering is brought to you by Carol Barrett, Jacinta Corbett, Ann Marie Horan and Caroline McFadden.

All are most welcome! (Please note this is not really suitable for children except for interested teens).

Cost

€15 per person or €10 concession (senior/student). Advance booking is required and all proceeds go to Brigit’s Garden.
