Samhain Evening at Brigit’s Garden

Samhain Halloween is one of the great turning points of the Celtic year, marking the end of the harvest season and the shift into the darker months. It is a liminal time when the veil between this world and the otherworld is said to be thin, and a time for deep connection with the land and the ancestors.

You are warmly invited to join us at Brigit’s Garden for a special gathering to mark the festival of Samhain – a candlelit evening, mainly indoors with some time around the fire outdoors (weather permitting).

We will share stories and songs of Samhain and relax with a meditation; we will reflect on what we need to let go of and what we wish to call in over the winter season; and we will honour our ancestors and those that have passed, and drum around the fire.

After the main session there will be a cuppa and an informal gathering around the fire to share songs, poems and stories (please bring something if you wish!).

The evening is brought to you by Carol Barrett, Jacinta Corbett, Caroline McFadden and Jenny Beale.

All are most welcome! (Please note this is not really suitable for children except for interested teens).

Advance booking is required and all proceeds go to Brigit’s Garden.
Contribution: standard €15, supporting €20, concession €10
