Summer Camps 2023

Brigit’s Garden is looking forward to a summer of woodland adventures with forest school inspired summer camps.

The camps will combine the beauty of Brigit’s Garden with the adventures, inspiration and freedom of nature-based play. Camps will have a variety of natural crafts, activities and games.

Fun with Nature 5 – 7 year olds

This camp will include nature crafts (clay, making inks, nature flags), bush craft skills, a chill-out area with hammocks, tree swings and slacklines, the ever-so-popular mud kitchen, nature-based stories and songs and of course, child-led free play.

Wilderness Survival Skills 8 – 12 Year olds

This camp will provide opportunities for children to enhance their survival skills, with tool use, animal tracking, fire building, flora and fauna recognition, foraging and cooking of wild plants, shelter and den building, knot tying and rope swing making.

Each camp is run by fully qualified leaders with years of experience bringing children into nature.

Brigit’s Garden Summer Camps are outdoor camps and it is expected that children’s hands and clothes may get mucky and wet at times.

You understand that your child(ren) may need additional outdoor clothing for camp activities. We will continue the sessions rain or shine so waterproofs and boots will be needed!

Although minimal, there is a risk of ticks in the woods, and long sleeved tops and long trousers will be needed. Information on ticks will be given on the first day.

It is important that children follow the directions of the camp leader and participate in group activities. If there are any behavioral issues, parents will be made aware of this on the day that it occurs. If the behavior continues to be an issue on the following day, Brigit’s Garden reserves the right to remove a child from the camp. In the unlikely event of this happening the payment for the days not attended will be refunded.

Consent will be sought for photographs that include your child. These may be used by Brigit’s Garden on our website and to publicise the camps, on the understanding that no names will be attached to the photographs.

Brigit’s Garden fully respects your right to privacy, and will not collect any personal information about you or your children without your consent.  Any medical information will be deleted after the camps finish.
