Preparation and sowing wildflowers
1. Lightly dig over and rake the soil to prepare a fine, firm seedbed, free of weeds and grass, so that the wildflower seeds don’t have to compete with other plants.
2. Mix the seeds with a carrier (sand or soil) if using and scatter over your prepared seedbed.
3. Gently rake to lightly cover the seeds to a dept of 1mm (theses seeds need sunlight so be careful not to bury them too deep). Press the seeds into the soil using your food, hand or roller to create good soil-to-seed contact.
4. Water lightly and take care not to wash the seeds away.
