Volunteer

Two young men move a table outdoors near solar panels on a sunny day, surrounded by greenery and trees.

During the year, we rely on our volunteers to keep us going.  They do everything from raking leaves and sowing seeds, to painting faces and entertaining guests! We couldn’t do it without them and we appreciate each and every person who comes to Brigit’s Garden to help.

Garden volunteers

Our Thursday morning volunteer sessions are easy-going and sociable. We start at 9.30am and finish about 12.30, and we do lots of gardening work around the site.

They are drop-in sessions, so people come when they are free and there is no on-going commitment. No gardening experience is required, just a desire to be out in the fresh air!

Special event helpers

We welcome help in a number of areas for our special events. During the events, we often need people to help with face-painting, kids’ activities and general help with stalls and activities. For upcoming events you might be interested in, see our events calendar.

Summer camps

Our nature-based summer camps for local families are very popular, and we need a volunteer to assist the leader for each group. The commitment is for five mornings and experience with children can be a great help.

We reimburse all volunteers’ expenses and provide refreshments while here.
